Obituary of Elizabeth Wyman

Elizabeth Bell Wyman WEST COLUMBIA:Graveside service for Elizabeth Bell Wyman, 99, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 7, 2011, at Greenlawn Memorial Park, officiated by Pastor John Rogers. The family will receive friends from 10 until 11 a.m. prior to service at the cemetery. Memorials may be made to Edwards Memorial ARP Church, 1600 Summerland Dr., Cayce, SC 29033 or the charity of one's choice. Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington is assisting the family. Mrs. Wyman, widow of C. Vincent Wyman, died Friday, June 3, 2011. Born in Rocky Mount, NC, she was a daughter of the late K.K. Bell and Georgia Scarborough Bell. She was a member of Edwards Memorial ARP Church and was retired from SC Dept of Labor after 22 years of service. Mrs. Wyman attended Lewisburg College in NC; she served as a volunteer for the American Red Cross for a number of years and also was an avid gardener. Surviving is her daughter, Holly Wyman; and son, Skip Wyman both of West Columbia; one granddaughter, Sandra W. Shealy (Mike) and two great grandchildren, Makaela and Michael Shealy. Mrs. Wyman was preceded in death by five brothers and sisters. The family wishes to extend many thanks to Morningside of Lexington for her care the past six years and also to Agape Hospice for the past couple of weeks.
