Obituary of Eva Byrd

CAYCE:Eva Byrd 65, of Cayce, SC passed away on Tuesday, February 8, 2011. Married to Bob Byrd for 44 years, Eva was a loving wife, adoring mother and grandmother, loyal friend and a devoted Christian. She was a long time member of Cayce United Methodist Church. Throughout her life, Eva worked to improve the lives of children by working in schools, volunteering in the community, and leading youth in church. Eva was the daughter of the late Herwalt and Addie Howard. She is survived by her husband, Bob Byrd of Cayce; children, Robb and Angie Byrd of Lexington and Renee and Jeff McCaslin of Charleston; grandchildren, Abbey Grace Byrd, Tradd Byrd, and Mary-Hunter McCaslin; sisters, Pauline Herrick and Rose Cameron. A service will be held Friday, February 11, 2011, at 2 p.m. at Cayce United Methodist Church. Burial and family visitation will follow at Celestial Memorial Gardens.
