Obituary of Terry Ambrose

Terry E. Ambrose LEXINGTON:Memorial service for Terry Eugene Ambrose, 72, will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, May 13, 2011, in the Chapel of Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington, officiated by Rev. Ed Lynch. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to SCOA, Care Foundation, P.O. Box 2046, Attn: Meredith Anderson, West Columbia, SC 29171. Mr. Ambrose died Sunday, May 8, 2011. Born in Effingham, IL, he was a son of Lorraine Avanelle Davis Ambrose and the late Edward B. Ambrose. He was retired from the City of Columbia. Mr. Ambrose was an avid hunter, and race car driver; he enjoyed fishing; and was also an avid Carolina fan. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Surviving is his mother, Avanelle Ambrose of St. Charles, MO; his loving wife of 52 years, Dee Ambrose; daughter, Rebecca Ambrose; sons, Stephen Ambrose and Brian Ambrose all of Lexington and Mitch Ambrose of Vaucluse, SC; sister, Janet Garmon (Gary) of St. Charles, MO; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
