Obituary of Evelyn Keefe Grimsley

Evelyn "Peggy" Keefe Grimsley WEST COLUMBIA—Graveside services for Evelyn "Peggy" Keefe Grimsley, 92, of West Columbia, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 20, 2011, in Celestial Memorial Gardens. Officiating will be Rev. Steve Allen. The family would like to extend the opportunity to anyone who wishes to depart with the family from the funeral home to meet at 10:30 a.m. for procession to the cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday, June 19, from 6-8 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home of West Columbia. Mrs. Grimsley, widow of William "Bill" Napoleon Grimsley, passed away on Wednesday, June 15, 2011. Born in Florence, SC, she was the daughter of the late L.E. Keefe and Elizabeth Finklea Keefe. She was a resident of the area since 1952 and a retired legal secretary for Allen Wise, Esquire. She was fond of collecting dolls. Surviving Mrs. Grimsley is her son, Robert M. Grimsley (Debra) of Elgin, SC and step-daughter, Jane Fletcher (Randall) of Lexington, SC. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Sylvia Lesesne and a sister, Mary O'Doherty.
