Obituary of Grady Creech

Grady L. Creech WEST COLUMBIA—A memorial service for Grady L. Creech, 71, of West Columbia, will be held at 3 p.m., Tuesday, July 26, 2011 at the Chapel of Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington. Officiating will be Rev. Jimmy Walker. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday, July 25, 2011 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 520 Gervais Street, Ste. 300, Columbia, SC 29201. Mr. Creech passed away on Saturday, July 23, 2011. Born in Barnwell, he was the son of Louise Still Creech and the late Ralph J. Creech. He was a lifetime area resident and served in the United States Air Force. He retired from Southeastern Freight Line after many years of devoted service. Surviving are his mother, Louise S. Creech of West Columbia; daughters and sons-in-law, Binky & Wayne Baughman of West Columbia, Ginger Creech Lemox of Lexington and Glenda & David Murphy of Lexington; grandchildren, Kayce Cantrell, Jonathan Baughman, Ryan, Randi & Ray Murphy, Alexis Creech, Shelby & Trey Lemox; four great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers-in-law, Betty & Edward Seibert of West Columbia, Frances & Terrell Emanuel of St. Matthews and Lynn & Dennis Dawkins of West Columbia.
