Obituary of James E. Miller

James E. Miller, 83, of West Columbia, passed away April 11, 2023. He was born on May 2, 1939 in Lexington, SC to the late Robert C. and Lillie J. Miller.

In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie Miller and his daughter, Dianne R. Moore and four other siblings.

He is survived by his son, Curtis R. Miller; four grandchildren, Chad and Gregory Moore, Kimberly McClain (Robbie) and Justin Miller; along with three great grandchildren, Maddison, Nolan and Aidan. His brother, Stan Miller also survives, with many nieces and nephews.

He was an Army Veteran. Jay worked as a diesel mechanic at Overnight Trucking until his retirement.  He was a lifetime member of Airport Assembly of God. 

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, April 16, 2023 at Thompson Funeral Home, 4720 Augusta Rd., Lexington. Interment will be at Southland Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to Trinity Church, West Campus, 650 Ermine Rd., West Columbia, SC 29170.
