Obituary of Debra Straw

Debra Denise Straw, 60, of Columbia, SC passed away on November 8, 2022 after a prolonged illness. She was the youngest daughter born on May 26th, 1962 in Panama City, Florida to Myrtice (Warren) and Robert Straw. She was a 1980 graduate of Columbia College (B.A. in English) and a 1996 graduate of Webster University (MA in Business Management). Debra will always be remembered for her analytical, creative, comedic, and inquisitive nature. She possessed a passion for cats, poetry writing, storytelling, music, traveling, and loving friends. Debra had a unique impact of being “a light” in the lives of many. Her fierce, independent, free-spirited soul will forever be missed. She was preceded in death by mother, Myrtice Warren, and sister, Karla Straw. She is survived by her father, Robert Dean Straw.
