Obituary of Bobby Julian Turner
Bobby J. Turner, 78, entered his eternal Heavenly home on Sunday, September 18, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Eunice A. Turner.
Bobby was born on July 19, 1944, in Aynor, S.C. to the late Julian S. Turner and Adele Catherine Turner. He served in the U.S. Navy in 1963 on the U.S.S. CORAL SEA in Vietnam. He was a master electrician at Square D and retired after 31 years. He loved his SLOW rides down Old Hopkins Rd. and picking up sticks in his yard.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters, Shelby Groves, Karen All (Bill), and Heather Turner; grandsons, Trevor Groves (Destinee), Joshua Weeks (Rita), and Peyton All; great grandchildren, Hallee Ann Groves and Mason Weeks; and his four-legged best friend, Hunter. He was predeceased by his parents; his grandson, Justin D. Groves; great grandsons, Caleb J. Groves and J. Brantlee Groves; and his uncle, R.C. Cook.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, September 22, 2022, at Thompson Funeral Home at Greenlawn Memorial Park from 6-8 p.m. and funeral service will be on Friday, September 23, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. conducted by John Seiple, loving brother-in-law. Graveside service will follow.
Pallbearers will be Trevor Groves, Joshua Weeks, Chris Seiple, Jamie Bell, Mike Dailey, and Dwayne Dailey.
