Obituary of Amalie H. Rudd

Amalie H. Rudd (Molly), passed away peacefully and went to be with the Lord on August 26th, 2022, in Columbia, SC. She lived a full and blessed life, leaving this world a better place, at the age of 92. She was a mother and wife, raising five children with love. She was the heart of the family, holding everything together. 

Amalie was a great role model for her family, attending college later in life and becoming a Registered Nurse in her fifties. She influenced her next two generations with five of her children and grandchildren following in her footsteps. She was a wonderful and giving homemaker, always taking care of and thinking of her family first. Amalie loved flowers and gardening and her yard was filled with blooms. 

She is survived by her children, Linda Lowery of Columbia, Elizabeth Price of Augusta, Georgia, Gabriele Gambuzza of Columbia, Patricia Clement of Columbia, and Donald Rudd of Columbia. Amalie also had ten loving grandchildren, Amber Santana, Jeramy Lowery, Amanda (Mandi) Price, Madelyn Price, Stephanie Waltman, Rachel Gambuzza, Jeanette Maness, Taylor Clement, Christina Remington, Lindsay Rudd and five great grandchildren. 

Amalie will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. 

A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm on Wednesday, August 31, 2022 at Thompson Funeral Home at Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service. Burial will follow immediately after the service at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
