Obituary of David M. Allen

David M. Allen, 68, of Gaston, passed away on Monday, February 8, 2021. He was born July 28, 1952 to Frances Fulmer Gable and the late RE Allen, Jr.

Mr. Allen was predeceased by his daughter, Amy Leigh Allen. He is survived by his wife, Victoria S. Allen; sons: Shaun (Kelly) Allen of Sandy Run, Dusty (Courtney) Allen of Swansea; grandchildren, who were his pride and joy: Jennifer (Alex) Presley of West Columbia, Reece Allen of Sandy Run, Adelyn, McKenly and Gage Allen of Swansea; great-granddaughter, Brynlee Presley of West Columbia; brothers: Sparky and Kenny Allen; and sister, Dale Farkus; as well as, numerous family members.

David retired from Eastman Chemical Company, where he was a dedicated employee for over thirty years. He was a member of the Army National Guard in Batesburg, SC. Additionally, David spent countless hours on the ballfield, not only as a player, but as a mentor and coach for the local youth in Gaston.

Services will be held Thursday, February 11, 2021, at 2:30pm at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington, 4720 Augusta Road, Lexington, SC 29073, with burial at Pleasant Pines Independent Baptist Church, Hwy. 321, Gaston, SC. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00pm, Wednesday,
February 10, 2021 at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington.
