Obituary of David Wattie Langston

David Wattie Langston, 62, of Lexington, husband of Deborah Ruth Lane-Langston, passed away on August 4, 2020 at his residence.

Born April 29, 1958 in Columbia, SC, he was a son of the late Leroy Bernard Langston, Jr. and Caroline Lee Langston. He attended the University of South Carolina and was a Superintendent with Tyler Construction Company.  David was a humble man who loved all sports, was an avid golfer and played college soccer. He also enjoyed working in his yard and gardening.

In addition to his wife, David is survived by two step-daughters, Jana Dopler and Erin Dearmore both of Columbia; one step-son, Kevin Dearmore of Columbia; three brothers, George Martin Langston of Pelzer, SC, Leroy Bernard Langston, III and Jonathan L. Langston both of Shallotte, NC. He is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews and other extended family.

A memorial service will be held at a future date.
