Laverne was one of my most favorite people. She was so enjoyable to be around and I continue to laugh at little secrets she shared with me a long time ago. I tried to visit her every few weeks, and I know that her last years have not been as happy and carefree as in previous times. But, even in the last few years, she had that wit and personality that made her so special. Almost every time I visited, she questioned how my plant was surviving. And, she usually sent me home with another little sprig of "Hen & Biddies". And, each time, Joe laughed and just shook his head ! I think of her each time I water the plant. I'm sure each of you will miss Laverne, but her presence will continue to live in your hearts forever. Treasure the memories. And, anticipate the day when you will meet her in Heaven.

Ms. Laverne was such a joy to work with over the years at the National Guard Credit Union. I loved talking with her & hearing her stories. My condolences to the family! I know you will miss this sweet, spunky little lady.

Dear Linda and Family,
I will always remember when you, your mother, preschooler Natalie, and I were riding together, and your mother described the "dog food" (AKA leftovers) she had brought along for your dog when Natalie piped up and said, "I want some of Mimi's dog food." We cherish that story and still laugh about it!
Love,
Christie Cook
