Obituary of Betty Sue Worthy

Betty Sue Worthy, 56, of West Columbia, wife of William Allen Worthy, passed away January 31, 2020.  She was born on October 18, 1963 to the late William and Lois Thomas.

She was a graduate of Airport High school class of 1981. Betty worked for FedEx shipping for 35 years and believed in working hard in life no matter what. On weekends you could find Betty enjoying her loving grandkids or watching her Clemson Tigers playing, or even in the pool enjoying the hot weather.

In addition to her husband she is survived by two sons, Michael Worthy (Codee) and Shawn Worthy (Jasmine Crownover) both of Columbia, SC; two grandchildren, Easton and Caden Worthy; and four sisters, Vanda White, Jacque Vieira, Pam Owens and Patsy Feaster; four brothers, Ricky Dales, Jimmy Dales, and Junior Dales, and Donald Dales; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 3, 2020 at Whitmire Pentecostal Church, 1325 Broom Street, Whitmire, SC. The family will receive friends from 1-2pm prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
