Kirk, Bettie Lynne, and Boys,
The world is a brighter place and each person that met Mrs. Ethelyn is better for it. I will never forget her angelic singing, cheerful spirit, and she always had sound Christian advice. I will always cherish our working together and then our continued friendship which my mother also shared.
May God continue to watch over and comfort you with His peace during your time of great loss.
We love you all,
Tim Allen & Mary W Brown

Kirk, Bettie Lynne, Adam & Andrew....Linnie and I send our sympathies for the loss of this dear loved one. Our hearts break along with you. But we know beyond a shadow of a doubt that she is in a better place now and is resting in the arms of Jesus. How the angels must have rejoiced when they saw Ethelyn coming. Her love for singing and her sweet voice has now been added to those in the heavenly choir. Oh how family members who had gone before must have rejoiced when they saw her coming. Yes....she will be missed on this earth; but at the same time, it is a comforting thought to know one day she will be welcoming the rest of us left behind into the gates of heaven.
Personally, I already miss our talks via the telephone and her laughter. She had an infectious laugh like none I have ever heard before. She was a beautiful lady both inside and out who was what I often called “a real Southern Belle”. She always seemed to think of others first.
Kirk, Bettie Lynne, Adam & Andrew, I want you to know that I will miss your Mom, your Baba and my Buddy. But thank the good Lord that we have the memories she left behind. Hold on to them. If we but share those memories, a part of her will always be with us, and she will never be forgotten.
Our thoughts and our prayers are with you during this time.
We Love You All,
Linnie & Brenda Sutcliffe

I worked with Ethelyn at First Palmetto. What a beautiful lady inside and out. She loved to talk about her son.

Dickie and I are very sorry to hear about Aunt Gran. She was a truly beautiful lady. She cared deeply about her family and friends.. I will certainly continue to pray for the family. Unfortunately because of Dickie's advanced stage of Alzheimer's we will not be able to attend the service in person but know our spirits and prayers are with you.
