Obituary of Dianne Chestnut

Dianne Spurlock Chestnut 72, of Gaston, wife of Donald "Bruce" Chestnut passed away Tuesday, September 24, 2019. She was born on January 2, 1947 in Greenwood County to the late John Spurlock and Carrie H. Hall. Dianne worked for Bell South for 43 years. She had a good heart and put everyone else ahead of herself. Her passion was her dogs, cats, and especially her horses.

In addition to her husband of 53 years, she is survived by, one son, Michael Chestnut (Marcie); two granddaughters, Brittany Legg and Katie Arnold; two great granddaughters, Bailey and Brielle Legg. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by, three brothers, Gerald, Randy and Michael Spurlock; two sisters, Phyllis Ellisor and Daphne Boone.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Thursday September 26, 2019 at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington.  Funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday September 27, 2019 in the Chapel of Hope at Southland Memorial Gardens.
