I am so sorry to have just learned of this sad news. Gary and I were friends on Facebook since 2008, one of the first friends I had on FB. We messaged little things to each other once a month at least. He was always so helpful and kind and so sweet. He loved his home and his cat , his nieces, and sister, Carol. And he loved and appreciated life so much...grateful for the time he felt was added to his life. I will forever miss him. God bless you all. It's a huge loss.

Gary and I were roommates when I got out of high school. That is when we developed a bond that would last a life time. I loved his gruff front and that slight smile afterwards. This would always let me know what a joke that the situation may have been. At times Gary would be awkward in a given situation but he would always recover with a laugh.
I will miss you brother.

Gary was one of the kindest people I know. His gruff exterior hid that enormously large heart that he shared so often. I will miss his outrageously funny sense of humor, his text, his hilarious FB post, his constance in always trying to keep his friends together, and his willingness to help anyone, anytime! RIP in peace, my dear sweet friend,....until we meet again.

My first memory of Gary was in 7th grade, beginning band. He played trombone and the band director was having us all do scales. Well the student beside him couldn't do one of the notes and Gary boomed out "He can't reach it" Of course the whole room laughed. Its one of my best memories.

Gary was a one of a kind dear friend. He loved his friends and spending time with them. He brought so many classmates back together after many years. I will always cherish my talks and texts with him. I'll miss his friendship and his unique sense of humor. My prayers are with the family that he often spoke of in a loving, caring way. You will be sorely missed by so very many Gary.❤❤❤❤
