Obituary of Lois Jeanette Hall

Lois "Jeanette" Hall, 82, of Columbia, South Carolina passed away May 21, 2019.  She was born on February 27, 1937 in Hopkins, South Carolina to the late Hubert and Thelma Williamson Young.

Jeanette graduated with her degree as a Registered Nurse from Baptist Hospital School of Nursing in 1955.  She had a career of thirty plus years as a Registered Nurse.  Jeanette loved to sing and was involved in various church choirs and singing groups throughout the years. 

Jeanette is survived by her daughter, Angela Hall Barton and her spouse, Gary Barton; her five grandchildren, Shanon, Carlston, Seth, CJ, Lauren; and her nine great-grandchildren.  Her surviving siblings are Hubert C. Young, Jr., Roy O. Young and Betty Lou Thompson. 

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Teresa Ann Thompson; her step-son, Charles Mack Hall, Jr.; her sister, Arlene; her brothers, Bill and Richard; and her grandson, Nathan.

The family will receive friends at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington on May 24, 2019 from 5:00PM - 7:00PM.   Memorial services will be held at Red Bank United Methodist Church, 2909 Old Barnwell Road, Lexington, SC 29073 on Saturday, May 25, 2019 at 11:00AM.   Pastor Robert Dunn will be officiating.     Memorials may be made to the SC Nurses Association at WWW.scnurses.org.
