My Dad, Nelson Dailey taught me the importance of loving God, loving your family and loving your friends.
He knew no stranger.
He told everyone, who would listen, about Jesus.
He taught me how to build things and how to repair things.
He taught me how to work hard and earn an honest living.
He taught me how to find the strength to face challenges in life.
He was a man of integrity, a man of conviction, a man to aspire to be.
He loved God and his Son Jesus.
He loved my mother, even through the toughest times, in sickness and in health.
He loved his children, his grandchildren and his great grandchildren.
He loved his friends.
He loved his music and we all loved to hear him play and sing.
He loved the Gamecocks, win or lose.
He gave us no complaints.
He gave us words to live by.
He touched the hearts of those who knew him.
He gave more than he ever expected in return.
He was talented, intelligent and compassionate.
He loved to be in the spotlight and to shine the spotlight on those he cared for.
He encouraged others, comforted others and inspired others.
He lived a full life and never gave up.
He was one of a kind.
He will be truly missed.
He was and always will be...my Dad.
I love you.
Marlin

My heart breaks for you brother. Prayers for you and your family. The one thing i will miss the most about your dad is all the calls he would make to you during the Carolina games. He never missed a play. He was very passionate and truly loved the Gamecoccks!
You are very fortunate to have had such a great man for a father, a dad, a mentor. He loved you enough to teach you the word of God. That alone is enough. Although, he did much more than that! He was easily better than all the rest of us. He showed that in the way he loved you guys!
Take comfort in knowing that he now sits with the Father. I can see him now. Smiling and laughing. Wearing his favorite Carolina hat. Shouting "GO GAMECOCKS"!

"We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord" (2 Corinthians 5:8). We KNOW where he is.
